Dr. Kendra Gagneux joined the SPCA Monterey County as a Veterinarian in 2024. She completed her veterinary studies at the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK. Before coming to Monterey, Dr. Gagneux worked in Austin, Texas, where she served at Emancipet, a nonprofit clinic dedicated to providing affordable veterinary care.

Dr. Gagneux’s passion for animals began in her early years, inspired by a childhood filled with the companionship of pets and a fascination with the natural world. She is drawn to the SPCA's mission of providing compassionate care to animals in need, and she feels grateful to be part of a team that dedicates itself to improving the lives of pets, wildlife, and the people who love them.

Dr. Gagneux lives in the Carmel area with her husband, also a veterinarian, and their two beloved dogs—an Australian Shepherd named Luek and a Border Collie named Laika. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, photography, and adventuring outdoors.
