Lisa Borne is the Financial Controller at  SPCA Monterey County. Lisa joined the SPCA in September 2024 after working in accounting for the Agricultural Industry on the Central Coast for the past 13 years. Lisa grew up on a Farm in a small town in Wisconsin and joined the Navy straight out of high school. Lisa moved to the Central Coast in 2010 with her husband Tristan, their two teenage sons, Jovahn and Jordan, and two dogs Angel a geriatric Shih Tzu and Bella a chunky lively Pug. Lisa does not remember a time in her life that she did not have a pet either a dog, cat, hamster, bird or even a turtle. She currently has a 150lb Dane Bernard mix named Kobe and is currently fostering a Griffon Cockatoo.

Lisa has always wanted to work for or start a non-profit that would make an impact in the community. Here at the SPCA for Monterey
County she is able to do the job she loves and work with an amazing team of people that care deeply for the all the animals. You can often find Lisa visiting the animals in the shelters and adoption center on her breaks to give them extra love and treats.
