Peter Langley is the Assistant Shelter Manager at SPCA Monterey County. Peter joined the SPCA in 2021. Peter grew up in a small town in Georgia and has been working with animals at dog daycares, training facilities, and barns since he was 16 years old. Peter's love for animals started with his grandmother, who was passionate about horses and cats and would marathon animal documentaries and shows. Growing up, Peter always had animals in the home - cats, dogs, horses, hamsters, and anything else that needed a place to go. 

Peter loves working with animals and the people who love them everyday. Peter finds it rewarding to see the animals that come to the SPCA move on to happy homes, while also educating owners on proper care and helping them to find the best animal companion for them.  

Peter currently lives with his partner Jason and their five happy dogs. In his free time, he enjoys training his dogs, reading a good book, or marathoning Star Wars.
